The LGMC Ensemble brings ‘Boys will be Boys – a Choral Cabaret’ to the Prague Fringe 2016
Following a hugely successful sell-out concert at Prague Pride last summer, the LGMC Ensemble (LGMCe) from returned to perform at Prague Fringe Festival 2016 with their show Boys Will Be Boys – A Choral Cabaret from 28-30 May at Malostranska beseda.
The LGMCe performed a selection of songs from their diverse repertoire with live piano accompaniment by Artistic Director, Simon Sharp. The show explored cabaret music in its many forms, from the dark, brooding harmonies of Jacques Brel, to show-stopping numbers by Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe.
The LGMCe performs regularly in venues around London, with previous sell out shows including Halloween-themed Screamers (2015) and festive extravaganza Hotel Noel (2014) at the Cockpit Theatre, Marylebone. The LGMCe have also performed a number of shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, including Hi-de-Homo, Oklahomo, There’s No Place Like Homo, Little Shop of Homos and Thoroughly Modern Willie, which won The People’s Choice Award at the Absolut Gay Theatre Festival Dublin 2010.
